I can't remember if I've already told you, but Danny and I are planning a surprise party for our English teacher, Mr Shandy, who is retiring at the end of the year.

At the end of the class next Friday, I'm going to ask him a lot of questions in order to keep him in the classroom while the rest of you hurry off and set up the party in the teachers' room. How does that sound? Do you think you could talk to Mrs Burns, the school principal and ask her if the teachers' room is available?

Another thing that I wanted to ask you: Tom says that you sometimes like to sing and play the guitar. Would you like to bring your guitar to the party?
